In the city of Katsuyama, Fukui Prefecture of Japan was held a  running competition. Runners dressed as colorful dinosaurs raced down a grassy ski slope in Katsuyama City, Fukui Prefecture.

The event is designed to boost the sports tourism sector of the central Japanese city, a popular tourist destination. More than 100 participants of different ages, from one to 74 years old, first warmed up in T-Rex suites.

Then the participants were divided into four categories, into different age groups. The contestants tried their best to make it to the top, but some didn’t make it all the way. Despite the challenges, many of them enjoyed the experience and the first-time winner hopes to win the title next year. The winners of the competition are happy to participate in this competition for the first time and want to defend their title next year. The purpose of this event is to present the city which is known as the petrified city and attract more tourists to it.
