The city of Istaravshan, which has been a center of culture, civilization, and art since ancient times, is still recognized today as a city of artisans, where many types of national crafts have developed.

In addition to artisans, the contribution of craft production workshops to the development of the craft sector in the city is also significant.

The Limited Liability Company “Shamsi Oriyon”, located in the village of Zarhalol of the Istaravshan city, has been operating since 2014 and has been doing significant work to date.

In this workshop, the population, state and administrative bodies and other economic institutions are offered products of handicraft labor, such as carpentry, carving, manufacturing of doors and windows, beds, and any types of wood processing.

The workshop was founded by master Solih Azizov and his children, and to this day, they have taught dozens of disciples the art of carving.

Currently, 30 people are learning the carving profession at this workshop.

The establishment and effective operation of this workshop is the result of the peaceful atmosphere of the country and sectoral privileges, and was carried out based on the instructions and guidance of the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, to revive folk crafts, include the working-age population in vocational training, establish small and large enterprises, and on this basis create new jobs.
