The Sada holiday, like the holidays of Navruz, Tirgon, and Mehrgon, is one of the oldest celebrations of the Tajik people, has survived to this day with its own traditions, customs, and rituals. That is why the Tajik nation preserves these celebrations to this day as a valuable spiritual memory and celebrates them at a high level every year.
It should be mentioned that the Tajik nation, with its rich and ancient traditions, customs, and culture, has made a significant contribution to the development of world civilization. Our good traditions and national celebrations, such as Navruz, Mehrgon, Tirgon, and Sada, have played a great role in promoting the morality and civilization of humanity throughout history.
It is a matter of pride that these celebrations have been included in the list of the Intangible Heritage of Humanity, once again introducing the world to the rich and colorful history of the Tajik nation. According to the legend of the “Shohnoma”, King Hushang founded this celebration.
It should be noted that during the 18th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO, the joint nomination of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran “Sada Festival” was included in the Register of the Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
The Sada festival, along with its natural, historical, and agricultural aspects, also plays an important role in presenting the rich culture of the Tajik nation. Every year, by celebrating this holiday, foreign guests and tourists of the country prepare to get acquainted with the tourism potential and various aspects of this celebration.
Thanks to the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, this ancient national holiday has been revived and is widely celebrated throughout the republic every year at the end of January, and this year, this celebration is also planned to be held on January 25-26.
