YOVON: Holding the “Mother’s School” competition

In the Yovon district, with the aim of developing national crafts, preparing girls for independent life, and paying tribute to the good traditions of their ancestors, a regional competition entitled “Mother’s School” was held among girls at the “Oriyon” restaurant in the district, at the initiative of the district’s executive authorities, the department for youth and sports affairs, and the department for women and family affairs of the district.

The organization of this competition actively contributes to the presentation of the high craftsmanship of our ancestors and the attraction of girls to the profession, the improvement of their cooking skills and folk crafts, and in general, their preparation for independent life.

First, the guests visited the exhibition of artisans and skilled Cookers from the town and rural communities of the district, which consisted of folk crafts and national foods, and gave due appreciation to their crafts and craftsmanship. In this event in addition to craftswoman from town and rural communities, senior pupils of educational schools and students from vocational technical colleges and lyceums of the district actively participated in this event.

At the same time, at this event, an exhibition of national clothes, which are an integral part of national culture, was presented to the participants, reflecting the high taste for beauty and craftsmanship of the women and girls of the district.

It should be mentioned that organizing and holding such competitions and events with the broad involvement of women is not without benefits, not only contributing to the development of folk crafts and the revival of the good traditions of our ancestors, but also creating a favorable condition for girls to learn crafts and professions.
