The construction of new and modern healthcare facilities, the creation of new jobs, and the significant improvement in the level of medical services in the cities and districts of the country indicate the development of this sector.

The activities of Khatlon State Medical University in Dangara district, with the provision of all modern educational opportunities, are considered one of the significant achievements in the healthcare sector not only for Dangara district, but also for the whole republic. Education and training of students are organized in the educational building and at 5 bases: the Central Hospital, the Republican Clinical Hospital, the Sanitary and Epidemiological Center, the Regional Hospital for Infectious Diseases, and the Multidisciplinary Medical Center of Dangara district.

Currently, 2,604 students are enrolled in the University in 5-specializations, depending on the character of the subjects and academic hours, from the first to the sixth year, in 87 academic subjects, covering 21 departments.

The University has created all the necessary conditions for students to conduct theoretical and practical classes.

Currently, the university has 24 educational and diagnostic laboratories, which help students put theoretical knowledge into practice and improve their professional skills.

Currently, 540 items of modern technical equipment, totaling 1,571 are used in the educational process and scientific works of students and teachers.
