At a press conference of the Statistical Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, it was reported that during the reporting period, within the framework of the implementation of the “Statistical Work Program for 2024”, approved by the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated November 29, 2023, a total of 8,636 statistical works were completed, including 1,613 works on industry and investment statistics in construction, 2,574 works on agricultural and environmental protection statistics, 524 works on financial statistics, 756 works on price registration statistics, 132 works on household budget research statistics, 904 works on demographic, employment and social statistics. 1,310 works relate to statistics on material resources, trade, and foreign economic relations, and 823 works relate to statistics on transport, communications, housing and communal services, and paid services, which indicates the full implementation of the statistical work program.

During the reporting period, Form №4 – “Report on the number of foreign citizens who entered the Republic of Tajikistan for tourism” was developed, and it became known that 1 million 400 thousand foreign tourists visited the country in the past year.

Also, in order to improve statistical accounting in the tourism sector, a new draft reporting form – Form №1 has been developed and approved, and data collection has begun in 2025, and from now on, the number of tourists visiting museums and historical monuments in the country will be collected every three months.
