On February 27, at the initiative of the Executive Body of the State Power of Dushanbe, the city round of the “Sad rangi Chakan” festival and the exhibition and sale of Chakan embroidery products were organized and held.

It was noted that, at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, the nomination “Chakan, the art of embroidery in the Republic of Tajikistan” was officially included in the list of World Heritage Sites at the 13th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO, which was held in December 2018 in the city of Port Louis, Republic of Mauritius, and the holding of the festival is one of the measures to honor this original cultural value, and it is aimed at promoting and encouraging national clothing, raising the prestige of embroidery and painting, needlework and embroidery of national fabrics, and demonstrating the high craftsmanship of domestic designers and craftswomen.

At the end, the participants were honored by the leadership of the Executive Body of the State Power of the city of Dushanbe for their active participation with a certificate of appreciation a certificate of honor, and commemorative gifts.
