On the morning of today, that’s March 21, at the State Institution of the “Victory” Park and “Forest Conservation” of Dushanbe, at the initiative of the Executive Body of the State Power of Dushanbe, the arrival of the glorious Navruz holiday was celebrated with national rituals and customs, including cooking sumanak, preparing various spring foods, decorating a festive bonfire, and performing other traditions.

At the venue of Navruz celebration, everyone gathered around the Navruz bonfire, danced and played with joy and songs, and sang poems and songs expressive of Navruz.

Sumanak is one of the symbols of the Nowruz holiday, and on this day, women and girls gather around a pot of sumanak and prepare the national Nowruz food.

It should be noted that, at the initiative of the Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, the Navruz holiday has acquired international status, and this ancient Tajik holiday is celebrated at a high level in the countries which are celebrated Navruz. The globalization of Navruz has made it possible for foreign tourists to show interest in Tajikistan in order to get acquainted with the customs and traditions of the celebration, and today, especially on the eve of the Navruz holiday, many tourists are in the country and participate in Navruz events.

After the end of the cultural program at exactly 06:00, the Navruz Caravan, surrounded by trumpeters and tabl players, in a high spirit of gratitude from the prosperous and blooming land of Tajikistan, with the participation of the Spring Queen, started from the Victory Park of the Capital and spread to everyone the good news of the coming of the New Year of the Ancestral Year – Navruz.
