The tourism sector is one of the priority and profitable sectors in the country. Along with other countries of the region and the world, Tajikistan has a great opportunity for the development of the tourism industry. One of the most advanced directions of tourism in Tajikistan is health tourism.

There are more than 200 healing mineral water springs in Tajikistan, 71 of which have hot water and 43 have cold water. Many reserves of healing waters, which spring out of the foothills naturally or artificially, due to the abundance of mineral layers of the country, have the ability to heal, and some of them are considered the rarest in the world. The resources and opportunities of Tajikistan on the field of medical tourism are unprecedented in the region. The most famous healing springs of the country are “Khoja Obi Garm”, “Yavroz”, “Obi Garm”, “Shohambari”, “Garmchashma”, “Havotog”, “Zumrad”, “Avj”, “Yamchun” and “Zong”, which are very beneficial for restoring human health.

In the light of the constructive policy of  the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan his excellency Emomali Rahmon    the tourism industry in the country has developed gradually and achieved significant results. The Leader of the nation considers the tourism industry as a priority direction of the national economy and fully supports its progress.

Today, with the support and care of the Leader of the nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, all conditions are created for the development of the tourism industry. Having legal, economic and social foundations, using the unique resources of the land, we can turn Tajikistan into one of the developed countries in the world in terms of medical tourism.
