At the World Championship of Northern Walking, which was held from October 6 to 9 in Yoshkar-Ola of the Republic of Mari El, Tajik athletes won 8 medals, including 6 bronze medals and 2 silver medals. According to the overall results, they won the second place among 11 countries.

It should be mentioned that the participation of Tajik athletes in the World Championship for tourism sports of the Northern walking type was provided by the Federation of Tourism Sports of Tajikistan and sponsored by domestic production companies.
