The 12th international exhibition “Dushanbe Book” in the National Museum brought together publishers and writers from the country and abroad. Since 2010, by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, this exhibition has been held annually in Dushanbe as an important phenomenon of book promotion and cultural relations with publishers and writers of friendly countries and it is also a suitable opportunity for the exchange of experience of publishers, presentation of newly published books and promotion of librarianship and reading culture among the country’s population.

This year, more than 40 publishers presented more than 5,000 titles of their newly published books in the fields of fiction, children’s literature, scientific, historical, philosophical, cultural and sociological works to the people related to the book and it was liked by the people related to reading.

In addition to domestic publishers, at the same time publishers and writers from brotherhood countries of Tajikistan – People’s Republic of China, Islamic Republic of Iran, Russian Federation, Republics of Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and India took part in the exhibition and presented the best examples of books from their publishing institutions to the participants.

The atmosphere of the 12th International Exhibition “Dushanbe Book” provides good opportunities to find reliable partners for cooperation and the best books for translation and publication.
