On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Tajik critic and literary critic Sohib Tabarov, a scientific and theoretical conference on the topic “Sohib Tabarov’s Status in Tajik Criticism and Literary Studies” was held at the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.

According to the information, the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the famous Tajik literary critic and corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan Sohib Tabarov was held on the basis of the “Schedule of celebrations and anniversaries, festivals and exhibitions, cultural and educational holidays and competitions and folk traditions in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2024”, which was approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon.

During the conference, it was said that Sohib Tabarov devoted his precious life to the study and discussion of fundamental issues of the history of Tajik literature of the 20th century, literary criticism, literary theory, textual studies and comparative literature, and is the author of more than 800 thesis, textbooks, educational materials and programs, scientific and scientific-popular articles.

It should be mebtioned that the conference was held at the initiative of the Institute of Language and Literature named after Abuabdulloh Rudaki, and in honor of the 100th anniversary of this Tajik critic, the sixth volume of his book entitled “Life, Literature, Realism” was published.
