In the work of the international scientific-practical conference on the topic “The role of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in the formation of national statehood” held in the National Library, it was said that after the independence of the newly independent Tajikistan, it chose the path of building a democratic, law-based, secular and unified state.

It is clear that one of the principles of building such a society is political diversity, which unites like-minded individuals within the framework of the country’s legislation, and they have the right to establish a political party and conduct its regular activities.

It was mentioned that the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan is a product of the creative thoughts and ideas of the leader of the nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the idea of creating a new political party, which covers as many interests of the state and the nation as possible, was proposed by the Head of State in the beginning of 1993.

In the continuation, the speakers noted the role of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in the formation of national statehood and stated that the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan is a great political institution that has gained a high reputation outside the country. The international cooperation of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan with the political parties of friendly countries is ongoing at a high level within the framework of signed cooperation agreements.

At the end of the conference, as a symbol of appreciation, a certificate of gratitude from the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan was presented to some of the party activists who contributed to the realization of the goals of the Charter and party programs and on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan.
