At a press conference of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, it was stated that during the reporting period, scientists of the National Academy of Sciences continued scientific research on 110 topics, including 68 applied scientific research topics and 28 fundamental scientific research topics, and achieved significant results.

At the same time, it was noted that scientists in the field of water and ecology have developed and implemented methods for calculating and monitoring the useful volume of water in the Norak reservoir and quickly predicting the annual flow of the Vakhsh river, which will provide a good opportunity to increase the efficiency of the Norak Hydroelectric Power Plant.

It was also stated that in order to strengthen and develop the scientific and experimental base of the scientific and research institutions of National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, in 2024 the Regional Center for Chemical, Biological, Radiation and Nuclear Safety, Security and Assurance of National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, 3 new laboratories equipped with more than 60 items of modern scientific instruments and equipment were built, and 3 new seismological stations were put into operation at the Geophysical Service under the Board of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
