During the week (from 03.02.2025 to 08.02.2025), officials in a number of state institutions and higher educational institutions of the country summarized their activities for the year. During press conferences which held every working day by several ministries and departments, representatives of the mass media had the opportunity to get answers to their questions.

Committee on Architecture and Construction

According to the approved plan, the week began with a press conference of the Committee on Architecture and Construction. Year by year increase in housing prices in the capital was one of the issues raised during the meeting.

In this regard, it was said that today in Tajikistan the average price per square meter of housing is 705 dollars. In Dushanbe, it is 780 dollars, and varies depending on the floor and location of a particular facility.

Committee on Primary and Secondary Vocational Education

The leadership of the Committee on Primary and Secondary Vocational Education informed journalists during a press conference in 2024 about the involvement of 12 thousand citizens in 50 professions and trades in vocational training in primary vocational education institutions. At the same time, the aforementioned person noted that despite the campaigns conducted in markets, airports, and shopping centers, citizens are still not interested in learning a profession, which we are working to make them professionals.

International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan

The start of construction work on the new educational building complex of the Dangara International University was one of the important achievements of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan in 2024, announced during a press conference of this higher education institution.

Training specialists in the tourism industry in the field of hotel management, restaurant management and guidance is part of the educational activities of the university. In this regard, it was noted that during this period, the material and technical base of the university’s laboratories was provided with modern technical equipment, and more than 120 students were enrolled in a free course of study “Culture of Table Service”. These students are involved in various events of the republican and international level as a service providers. 

National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan

Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan obtained 30 patents for inventions during the reporting period. The President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan announced this during a press conference.

More than 40 scientific developments and proposals of scientists of the academy and 7 proposals on the socio-economic situation of the republic were approved for practical use in production.

Executive body of the State Power of Ismoili Somoni district

Officials of the Executive Body of State Power of the Ismoili Somoni district of the capital implemented specific measures in 2024 related to the development of folk crafts and attracting citizens to vocational training, and during this period, 626 people were attracted to vocational training courses.

To date, 14 folk crafts centers operate in the district, 12 of which regularly train residents in folk crafts and professions relevant to the labor market.

At the same time, it was noted that the district has 10 cultural and recreational parks and 5 boulevards, where landscaping and greening work is regularly carried out for the recreation of residents and tourists.

The plan for organizing and holding press conferences has been approved by the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, and according to it, the press conferences began on January 27 and will end on February 14.
