EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE “TOURISM DEVELOPMENT” PROJECT

At the Serena hotel in Dushanbe, at the initiative of the Committee for Tourism Development  under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, a conference was held to present the results of the work carried out by the international consulting companies Keyos and Hidriya in the field of tourism development. The conference presented information on the work carried out on 8 projects of these companies. 

It was noted that the Committee for Tourism Development  under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, in order to implement the policy of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of tourism, has directed its activities to the effective implementation of the “Tourism Development” project, which is financed by the Asian Development Bank.

It should be noted that within the framework of the “Tourism Development” project, an agreement was signed on November 20, 2023 with the international consulting companies Hidriya from the Kingdom of Spain and Keyos from the Republic of Italy, with the aim of developing general tourism plans for the city of Dushanbe and its surrounding areas and a general tourism plan for the Fon mountains area, and preparing various investment projects in the tourism sector.

In total, within the framework of the above-mentioned tourism plans, Hidriya and Keyos companies presented a list of 70 investment projects, 8 of which were considered priority investment projects, including “Air Communications”, “Tourism Development of the Green City in Dushanbe”, “Development of a Cultural Network in Dushanbe, its Surrounding Areas and Khatlon Region”, “Management and Marketing”, “Network of Natural Reserves in the Fon Mountains”, “Development of Water Sports and Resorts on the Coast of the Tajik Sea”, “Khujand Tourism Region Development Program” and “Ayni Tourism Region Development Program”.

In the continuation of the conference, consultants from these companies provided information on the 8 priority investment projects, the preliminary economic and technical feasibility study of which has already been completed.

At the end, a question-and-answer session was held among the participants regarding the work done in these areas.
