The forum “Digital Transformation: Prospects and Solutions” was held at the initiative of the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the International Telecommunication Organization and the Regional Union in the field of communications at the National Library with the participation of representatives of the communications sector from within the country and 19 foreign countries.

It was stated that the Tajik side is ready to strengthen beneficial cooperation in the communications sector with relevant organizations and countries near and far.

In the continuation of the forum, information was provided on the state of the communications sector and the country’s transit potential, it was noted that the private sector plays a key role in the telecommunications market of the Republic of Tajikistan. Out of 30 operating companies and providers, 29 belong to this sector.  The Republic of Tajikistan has been a full-law member of the Regional Union Commission in the field of telecommunications since 1991, and this is the first time that a meeting of this commission is held in our country at a high international level, covering a wide range of issues in the field of telecommunications and various side events.
