One of the ways to successfully solve the problems related to climate change is the development of a “green economy”, which in turn creates the need for green energy. Recognizing the importance of this issue, an international scientific and practical conference was held on the initiative of the State Institution “Scientific and Research Institute of Sustainable Development and Green Economy” of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan on the topic “The Contribution of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals and Green Diplomacy”.

It was noted that in modern conditions, sustainable development is one of the main strategic directions of international and national policy in the field of economy, society and environment.

During their speeches, the speakers recalled all the global initiatives of the Great Leader of the Nation to ensure sustainable development, efficient use of water resources, climate change and the “green” economy, which have become a factor in increasing the country’s prestige in the world arena and a source of pride for every resident of the country.

In general, the Republic of Tajikistan, through its initiatives at the international level under the leadership of the Leader of the Nation, has made a significant contribution to “green” development and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, is a promoter of “green” diplomacy and advocates the expansion of beneficial cooperation with all countries of the world and international organizations.
