The awarding ceremony for the winners of the second National Film Award “Toji Somon” under the motto “Appreciation of original art” was held in Surush Palace in Dushanbe city with the organization of heartwarming songs.

Cinematographers from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, guests and lovers of tajik cinema took part in the conference.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Dilrabo Mansuri opened the ceremony and congratulated the guests and participants of the conference. During the speech, she stated that the National Film Award “Toji Somon” is the next initiative of tajik filmmakers, and it continues today in the country under the guidance and support of the Leader of the Nation, the President of the country Honorable Emomali Rahmon.

The purpose of the competition is to promote the best achievements of national cinema, to strengthen the cooperation of tajik filmmakers and to support talented youth.

This is the second year that the National Film Award “Toji Somon” has been held for the purpose of presenting national interests, pride in the creative nation, describing the beautiful nature of the country, attracting tourists, finding unique talents in the field of cinema within the framework of the “Program for the Development of Cinema of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2023-2027” in Dushanbe.
