Thanks to state independence, ancestral celebrations have been revived, and residents celebrate them with good customs and traditions. Along with Navruz, Mehrgon and Tirgon, the Sada festival also has an important educational and moral aspect, and it is celebrated as an ancient holiday of the Tajik nation every year throughout the country. This holiday was celebrated at a high level in the center of the city of Panjakent.
In the center of the city, farmers, artisans, representatives of organizations and institutions of the city exhibited various agricultural products, plants, folk crafts and national foods, and artists in every corner of the festival sang the praises of the country’s prosperity and peace, the traditions of the ancient Sada holiday.
It was emphasized that this celebration is one of the four ancient holidays of the Tajik nation, and was revived during the period of independence thanks to the cultural policy of the Great Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and moreover, last year it was included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
Farmers, in general, all residents of the city of Panjakent, as part of preparations for the planting season and the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the country’s state independence, welcomed this ancient national holiday by planting trees and greening the living area, expanding development works.
