At a press conference of the Executive Body of State Power of Dushanbe, journalists were informed that one of the important social and economic sectors in the activities of the Dushanbe city authorities is the field of tourism and culture, and those responsible for the sector are implementing a number of measures to hold holidays and celebrations, including the International Navruz, at an appropriate level.

It should be noted that today the city of Dushanbe is known as a venue for world-class events, and holding various events in the country’s capital has laid the foundation for attracting more foreign tourists to the country.

It was reported that last year, more than 1.2 million tourists entered the republic through all border crossings, of which more than 771 thousand visited the historical and tourist sites of the capital.

During the meeting, the leadership of the Executive Body of the State Power of Dushanbe responded to questions from representatives of the mass media regarding individual aspects of the municipality’s activities and indicators of the socio-economic development of the city of Dushanbe.
