In the Shamsiddin Shohin district of Khatlon region, Mother’s Day was also celebrated with a series of festive gatherings and other cultural and entertainment events. First, a ceremonial meeting was held with the participation of women activists in the hall of the district’s executive body, during which officials of the executive body of state power congratulated all those present on behalf of the Government of the country and the Executive Body of State Power of Khatlon region. 

In the course of the day, at a solemn event held in the district’s cultural palace, the district chairman first congratulated women and girls on Mother’s Day and noted that over the years of independence, the government of the country has approved a series of resolutions, laws, and special state programs in order to support women and mothers and improve their status in society.

It was noted that more than 100 women in the Shamsiddin Shohin district are engaged in entrepreneurial activities, nearly 800 of whom are heads of individual peasant farms, and 7,000 women are members of these farms.

At the end of the event, by the Department of Culture of the Shamsiddin Shohin district presented a rich artistic program entitled “Mother, the light of the family” to the attendees, which was enjoyed by everyone.
