A festive celebration on the occasion of Mother’s Day was organized and held in Farkhor district by organizing a joint event. Representatives of executive authority, women activists, veterans, heads of educational and preschool institutions, recipients of presidential scholarships and active participants in regional, republican and international competitions took part in this festive event.

During their speeches, the speakers expressed gratitude for the support of women and girls of the district and the constructive initiatives of mothers in the current policy of the state and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. The role of mothers in upbringing, learning the language, history and culture, modern knowledge and in general the spiritual and physical development of children was highly appreciated.

The proclamation of “Mother’s Day” as an official state holiday by the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, is a testimony to the high place and status of women and girls in the independent Republic of Tajikistan. Today the State and Government of the Republic of Tajikistan have created favorable opportunities and conditions for the even more extensive activity of women and girls in all responsible state positions.

In addition, in order to recognize the women of the region who have made a significant contribution to the development and growth of various sectors of society, a number of activists were presented with certificates of appreciation and commemorative gifts.

A comprehensive cultural program consisting of heart-warming songs and dances was presented to the participants of the event.
